Inside the Hiair company index: where the roles actually come from

Every company on Hiair's index is a real careers board the agent can search and apply through directly — not a copy, not a scrape it can't act on.

Every company listed on Hiair's company index is a real careers board — a Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, or similar applicant-tracking page the company runs itself. It's also the exact index the job-application agent searches when it looks for matches on your profile, so a company showing up there with open roles is a company the agent can actually apply to on your behalf.

What "open roles" means

The count next to each company is how many postings are currently live on that exact board, as indexed by Hiair. It isn't a Hiair-assigned number and it isn't influenced by anything on the Hiair side — it goes up when the company posts a new role and down when one closes, tracking the company's own board directly.

Why the agent needs a real index

The resume tailoring model reads a specific job description to decide what to emphasize, and the Chrome worker needs a specific application URL to fill in. Both steps depend on the posting being the company's actual, current listing rather than a stale copy — which is why opening a company card takes you straight to that company's own site instead of a Hiair-hosted mirror of it.

Requesting a company

If a company you want to apply to isn't on the index yet, there's a "Request a company" flow directly on the companies page — from the empty search state or from the button below the grid. It sends the name straight to the team that adds boards to the index, signed in or not.

How it fits into the rest of the agent

Browsing the index costs nothing — no token is spent searching, reading a company's open-role count, or opening a board to look around. Tokens only come off your balance when the agent actually submits an application, whichever mode — Copilot or Autopilot — is doing the submitting.
